Pan Galactic Fan Festival

Starbase Indy has been a Chosen Family Thanksgiving Tradition for Star Trek fans for years. This year, we thought we’d like to trying throwing a summertime chosen family reunion.Imagine a space where geeks come together for an afternoon to celebrate science, art, and the fandoms they are excited about? Can you picture: 

  • A stage with musicians playing a variety of filk and geeky favorites;

  • Robots solving puzzles and doing tricks across the green;

  • Cosplay from every fandom you can imagine (and probably a couple you won’t be familiar with - what a great way to start a conversation!);

  • The sorts of science experiments that amaze you while you learn something about the world you inhabit;

  • Vendors selling things you can’t find in stores;

  • Authors sharing the worlds they create with readers interested in immersing themselves; 

  • An opportunity to interact with other people who are excited to show up as their authentic selves for an afternoon;

  • A chance to meet interesting people, do interesting things, and find new worlds to be excited about.
