Present

A lot of our most popular programming is created by members of our local community. If you are passionate about something and want to share it with the Starbase Indy community, share your ideas with our programming team.

Here are some types of events we host at Starbase Indy:

  • A presentation is a talk (with or without AV support) delivered by one person. This person is a subject matter expert of some sort, with education and experience related to the topic they’re presenting.

  • A panel is a discussion with multiple presenters who discuss the topic.

  • A workshop / demonstration is a hands-on event where the presenter or presenters teach the audience members how to do or create something. Starbase Indy may offer reimbursement for workshop supplies.

  • A discussion is an opportunity for people who are interested in a topic to come together and talk about it. You don’t need any specific expertise for this, just a desire to talk with people who are interested in the same things you are.

Subject matter experts are often provided with a discounted or complimentary badge. This is entirely at the discretion of our Programming Coordinator, and is based on how well your panel aligns with our mission statement. You will be notified at the time that your panel is accepted/rejected whether your panel qualifies for a free badge (no later than November 05).
